Gas Supply and Gasification of KhMAO Meeting Timeframes
OREANDA-NEWS. September 19, 2011. The Gazprom headquarters hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company's Management Committee and Natalia Komarova, Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO) – Yugra.
The parties discussed implementation of the Agreement of Cooperation and the Accord on Gasification highlighting that construction and upgrade of gas supply and gasification facilities were meeting the preset timeframes.
The meeting also paid attention to improving the social and transport infrastructure of the region.
Background
Gazprom and the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra Government signed the Agreement of Cooperation in February 2011 and the Accord on Gasification in December 2007.
Natural gas penetration in the KhMAO accounts for 39 per cent including 39.2 per cent in cities and towns and 40.6 per cent in the rural area. The identical figures throughout Russia average 63.1, 69.8 and 46.7 per cent respectively.
Between 2008 and 2010 Gazprom allocated RUB 420 million to design and construct the 34-kilometer inter-settlement gas pipeline between an automated gas distribution station in Khanty-Mansiysk and the Lugovskoy settlement. In 2011 Gazprom is investing RUB 150 million in the construction of three inter-settlement gas pipelines with the total length of 25 kilometers to connect an automated gas distribution station located near the Peregrebnenskaya compressor station with the Chemashi village, the Lugovskoy settlement with the Troitsa settlement and the gas distribution point in the Belogorye settlement with the Kirpichny settlement. The said gas pipelines are planned to be operational in 2012.
