OREANDA-NEWS. September 19, 2011. County-level public hospital reform will be launched before the end of this year, according to Gao Kaiyan, director of Anhui Provincial Administration of Health.

Gao said that the name list of pilot county-level public hospitals had been submitted to Ministry of Health. But the name list is not final.

9 public hospitals were listed in the first batch. Currently, Anhui Provincial Administration of Health is drawing up the scheme of county-level public hospital reform. Once the scheme is approved by Anhui Provincial Team of Medical Reform, the reform will be started within this year.

Gao added Anhui had outlined the training plan for country doctors. According to the plan, 10-day training will be implemented annually. Every community hospital and country hospital will have at least 2 general practitioners by 2015.
