TATNEFT Participates in Oil and Gas PetroChemistry Exhibition
OREANDA-NEWS. September 19, 2011. TATNEFT takes part in the XVIII-th International exhibition "Oil and gas. Petrochemistry", held at the "Kazan Fair" exhibition complex, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.
The regular exhibition participants include representatives of the leading domestic enterprises of oil and gas industry, as well as foreign companies from the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Great Britain, Germany, Canada, Korea, Switzerland, Japan, Poland and other countries.
The exposition display of TATNEFT includes advanced developments of the Company providing for the efficient operation of crude oil fields. Inter alia there are new technologies in the field of crude oil production, chain drives manufactured by the Bugulma Mechanical Plant of TATNEFT, technologies of dual completion and operation of two or more layers through one well.
Significant place in the display of the Company has been allotted to the most up-to-date and the most advanced as today methods of enhanced oil recovery, advanced technologies development of extra-viscous oil deposits.
Presentations at the Company's stand also include technologies and equipment of service companies, which work in close contact with TATNEFT: TMS Group Management Company, System-Service Management Company, Tatneft-Energoservice Management Company and Tatneft-RemService.
Speaking at the exhibition opening ceremony, Ildar Khalikov, Prime Minister of Tatarstan said that the theme of the exhibition is a special one for Tatarstan. Oil and petrochemicals industry branches are the basis for the development of the Republic's economy and the main source of replenishment of its budget, while crude oil producing enterprises and refineries are major social partners of municipalities.
In recent years, the Republic has been demonstrating successful implementation of modern technologies and seriously upgrading production facilities. According to Mr. I. Khalikov there are new products manufactured, which successfully compete in world markets and also there are such important projects as TANECO Refinery and Petrochemical Plants Complex, being implemented. In this context, the importance of the exhibition as a platform for exchange of information on the achievements in the field of advanced technologies is increasing.
Ildar Khalikov has awarded the Grand Prix for the best exhibit in five nominations. Diplomas have been awarded to TATNEFT (twice), OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim, Kazanorgsintez and ZAO Technosphere (Kursk). The exhibits of TATNEFT have been acknowledged the best in the nominations "Innovative environmentally sound technologies" (for development of the technology to improve reservoir depletion using water emulsion compositions) and "Enhanced oil recovery" (for the design and development of the technology for controlling water production through application of resinous compounds).
President of the Republic of Tatarstan has also visited the exhibition. Rustam Minnikhanov and accompanying officials have visited the booths of the exhibiting companies. At the exhibition of TATNEFT special attention of the head of the Republic has been attracted by new technologies for development of bitumen deposits. According to Rustam Minnikhanov, significant reserves of natural bitumen represent an essential resource asset of the Republic and a promising resource of increasing production, therefore the production technologies of extra-viscous oil should be developed and improved.
As part of the exhibition there will be held a visiting meeting of the Federation Council Commission on Natural Monopolies, devoted to issues of legislative incentives for the oil companies to enhance crude oil recovery, and an expanded meeting of the Republican Interdepartmental Commission for development of nanoindustry branch in the Republic of Tatarstan with regard to application of nanotechnologies in the petrochemical industry branch. A review session to discuss topical issues of the oil industry will be arranged in the course of the exhibition activities; in particular, an International scientific-practical conference will be organized on enhanced oil recovery as a priority area for replacement of hydrocarbon reserves.
The exhibition has also become a venue for the III-rd International Gas and Chemical Forum "Present and future of Russian gas products", the VI-th Inter-regional scientific and practical conference devoted to the issues of industrial ecology and safety, as well as a round table discussion on topical issues of surveying and geophysical information systems as well as other activities.
