OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2011. HPCL been awarded the ”CIO 100” Award for the Sixth Consecutive Year. The Award was received by Executive Director-IS, Shri, S. T. Sathiavageeswaran of HPCL at a grand awards ceremony recently hosted by International Data Group [IDG] at Pune.

The annual award program recognizes organizations that are using information technology in innovative ways to deliver business value, whether by creating competitive advantage, optimizing business processes, enabling growth or improving relationships with customers. This year's award theme was "The Creative 100" to recognize the creative geniuses in IT leadership who haven’t shied away from experimenting with new technologies or have found unique IT solutions to meet their business challenges. “CIO 100” award of IDG (International Data Group) is one of the most prestigious recognitions in the IT Industry worldwide. Over the years a CIO 100 award has come to be considered the equivalent of the Oscars of the IT Industry across the world.

HPCL received the award for B2B Integration for Oil Exchange with other oil companies. HPCL`s commitment to continuously enhance stakeholders’ satisfaction by providing value added services, with technology as an enabler, has been recognized by IDG India by conferring the coveted CIO award every year from its inception.

The year’s CIO 100 honorees were chosen by a jury comprising of eminent CIO’s, academics and members of IDG’s editorial team.
