President of Baosteel Group Corporation and chairman of Baosteel Engineering & Technology Group He Wenbo paid a special visit to Baosteel Building's Chengdu Foxconn Apartment construction site for inspection. After learning the progress of project construction and the employees' work in details, He Wenbo pointed out that, the new type steel structure building industry is an emerging green industry conducive to the sustainable development of the society and benefiting the civilians, the relevant parties of Baosteel must pool the efforts to drive the rapid growth of this industry, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.

The new type steel structure building with the features of high earthquake resistance, fast construction speed, environmental protection and renewable, etc. is the developing trend of building industry in future. Chengdu Foxconn Apartment Project is undertaken by Baosteel Building System Integration Co., Ltd. established by Baosteel Engineering & Technology Group just this year with the mode of EPC. The project includes 7 18-floor complete steel framework structure residences with a earthquake resistance of 7 degree, covering a total floor area of 35,000 m2 and a total building area of 150,000m2. The project was started officially on May 20 this year and is scheduled to be completed by the end of February next year. So far, the project proceeds normally as per the construction schedule and various work goes on smoothly.

In that day, accompanied by Wang Li, assistant president and secretary to the board of Baosteel Group Corporation, Jiang Weimin, president of Baosteel Engineering & Technology Group and Chen Weidong, Party secretary of Baosteel Engineering & Technology Group, He Wenbo went to the site to inspect the construction situation and talked with Baosteel Building's employees on site to ask about their work and life, and urge them to pay attention to construction safety and ensure the construction quality.

He Wenbo affirmed the site management of the project. He pointed out that the new type steel structure building industry is green and environmental friendly, and belongs to capital and technology intensive industry, the Group Corporation pays much attention to the development of this industry and will render key support. He required Baosteel Building System Integration Co., Ltd. and the relevant units and departments should try hard to optimize and innovate the operating mechanism, and gradually expand the market share through scientific management and operation; rationally utilize various resources of the Group Corporation to pool the efforts and integrate the state-of-the-art technologies at home and abroad and the advantages in industrial chain, in a bid to improve their own technological capability and innovate the business mode, expand and strengthen this green industry conducive to the sustainable development of the society and benefiting the civilians.
