Ukraine Developed 2 Scenarios for Development of Economy for 2012
OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2011. The Cabinet of Ministers has developed two scenarios of the national economy for next year. It was started by the First vice Prime Minister – Minister of Economic Development and Trade at a briefing.
According to him, within the optimistic scenario, on the basis of which State program of social and economic development in 2012 is calculated, Ukraine's GDP growth is expected next year within 6.5%. In case of aggravation of crisis in the global economy, the Government expected 5.5% GDP growth, - said Andriy Klyuyev. The draft state budget for 2012 was based on final version of the forecast, added the First vice Prime Minister of Ukraine.
As he said during his speech at the session of the Government, under the reform we could strengthen the positive development of the country. He said the program was based on logic: from stabilization to a shift of emphasis towards economic restructuring.
Andriy Klyuyev named seven key priorities for 2012. It is ensuring of the socio-economic growth, modernization of production and infrastructure, improving social standards, strengthen the role of regions in promoting economic growth and increase their responsibility for solving social problems, strengthen the country's defences, rights and freedoms of citizens, strengthening law and order; development of international cooperation.
"The primary attention will be given for investment and innovation, and creating conditions for the transition to a" knowledge economy ", renewal of production facilities and infrastructure, eliminating inter-system imbalances, increased resistance to a variety of economic challenges and threats. We believe that Ukraine should not only consolidate their traditional advantages in metallurgy, chemistry, agriculture, but also significantly increase the role of innovative, high-tech sector and do it not in the future, but already now",- said the First vice Premier of Ukraine.
According to him support of industries that have the potential to produce products with high added value and create more high technological modes remains relevant for us next year. "These are aviation industry, rocket and space industry, mechanical engineering in general and several other industries", said Andriy Klyuyev. He stressed that many companies in these sectors need serious restructuring and modernization of production.
At the same time, according to Andrei Klyuyev, according to the ideology of reform, will be decrease state intervention in the economy - the recovery should occur on a fundamentally new basis, with support for new growth factors.
