OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2011. Production of specialty vehicles and business solutions based on light commercial and medium-duty vehicles is one of the key areas of GAZ Group’s development. The frame structure of the vehicles ensures simplicity of various superstructures installation, and good knowledge of the customers’ needs and many years of work with the suppliers make it possible to produce models that satisfy the customers’ requirements to the maximum. Today over 300 types of specialty vehicles are produced on various GAZ platforms. The newest and the most interesting models are presented at ComTrans’2011, reported the press-centre of GAZ Group.

The presented vehicles are equipped with Cummins ISF 2,8 engines (GAZelle and Sobol) and Cummins ISF 3,8 engines (Valdai). GAZ started selling vehicles with new diesel engines in September 2010 and became a leader in the diesel LCV segment in Russia. Over 12 000 diesel LCV’s have been sold for the year. Valdai sales increased by 2.5 times. The current share of GAZ Group in the diesel LCV market is over 25%. The success was achieved through flexible modernization of engines and vehicles by GAZ and Cummins specialists.

Mobile work shop on the platform ofGAZelle BUSINESSGAZ-2705. The design of the vehicle interior was developed together with Sortimo – world leader in production of equipment for specialty vehicles. Standardized and easily replaceable kit of equipment ensures comfortable operation of the mobile work shop almost of any profile. The kit includes lifting mechanisms, cargo fixation mechanisms and many shelves, boxes and drawers.

Autohydraulic hoist on the platform o fall-wheel-drive GAZelle BUSINESSGAZ-33027 is designed for assembly works and operations at the height of up to 18 m. An isolated bucket makes it possible to work on power lines under voltage of up to 1,000 V without shutting the power down.

Three-way dump truck on the platform of GAZelle BUSINESS GAZ-3302 is equipped with a high-strength steel platform which ensures small weight and high reliability of the structure. The dump truck is controlled from the cabin; special safety systems limit the stroke of the hydrocylinder and prevent tilting of the vehicle when the cargo is ‘stuck’.

"Europlatform" on the platform of Valday GAZ-33106 has a spacious cargo compartment of 24.8 m3. The reinforced frame protects the cargo and a special sliding mechanism of side blinds and roof ensures convenient loading and unloading. Double sleeping compartment lets the drivers rest comfortably in long intercity routes.

Insulated van with refrigerator unit on the platform of Sobol GAZ-2310 is made of very light and wear-resistant materials. Due to absence of seams in the body, the van has enhanced heat insulation and can keep the temperature up to -20С.

Vehicle with a crane manipulator on the platform of GAZelle BUSINESS GAZ-3302 combines a cargo van and a multipurpose lifting mechanism with boom length from 1.3 to 4.4 m and payload from 440 to 1,900 kg. Various configurations of this vehicle ensure efficient operation of service teams of the widest profile.

Mobile intensive care unit on the platform of GAZelle BUSINESS GAZ-3221 has the most modern medical equipment. High roof, swing door, lower entrance and exit step, high and spacious compartment create comfortable conditions for the medical teams. The roof design makes it possible to install an inbuilt high-performance air conditioning.
