TEO Recognized as most Successful Listed Company in Baltic States
OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2011. During the awards of the Baltic's most successful listed companies in the Baltic States - Baltic Corporate Excellence Awards 2011, TEO LT, AB, the largest provider of integrated telecommunication, IT and TV services in Lithuania, was, for the second year in a row, recognized as the best company in the Baltic States.
According to the experts' evaluation, key pillars of TEO's success were strong financial performance, market leadership, efficient corporate governance and communication with investors.
The second and third places were awarded by the jury to the Latvian companies Grindeks and SAF Tehnika. The title of the most successful company in Estonia was for the first time awarded to the electrical equipment manufacturer Harju Elekter.
The jury of experts evaluated the financial state and performance of the companies listed on the Baltic stock exchanges. The companies were also evaluated according to qualitative criteria, such as business model, corporate governance efficiency, quality of financial management and market environment.
The jury of the awards, held for the fourth time, included representatives from Swiss-based CE Asset Management AG, CE Services (Latvia), and BA School of Business and Finance (Latvia).
During the Baltic Market Awards, arranged by NASDAQ OMX stock exchanges in Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn at the beginning of this year, TEO was for the fourth time recognized as the most transparent company and was awarded for the Best Investor Relations in the Baltic States, and was also awarded for the Best Annual Report and recognized as one of the best in company in web-page development. TEO was awarded for the Best Investor Relations in the Baltic Countries already for the fourth time. TEO received the awards as the most transparent company in 2006, 2007 and 2009.
With more than 14 thousand shareholders, TEO is the largest, in terms of capitalization, company on the Official Trading List of NASDAQ OMX Vilnius stock exchange.
