Novikombank Is Developing Relations with Leading Companies

This year the MAKS-2011 air show once again brought together all the key companies in the aviation industry, aircraft manufacturers, and the leading engineering and defence industry holdings in Russia, CIS and abroad. Given the status of Novikombank as a supporting bank of Russian mechanical engineering in 2011, the bank was given the privilege of being a strategic partner at the air show. Novikombank took full advantage of the opportunity to strengthen its partnerships with companies in the real sector within its strategy, which is to provide comprehensive and systematic support for Russian industry in order to promote the modernization and innovative development of the Russian economy.
The Novikombank booth at the MAKS-2011 air show was located next to the booths of its key partners – the Russian Technologies State Corporation, the Rosoboronexport State Corporation, and the United Industrial Corporation Oboronprom. During the air show, an intense business programme was held there as well as social meetings for the bank’s partners and clients. The negotiations and agreements conducted at the MAKS-2011 air show have created a solid foundation for the development of effective relations with high-tech companies and for the bank to participate in the implementation of major projects related to state defence orders, export contracts for military-technical cooperation and the creation of new aviation technology prototypes for civilian and military purposes.
During the MAKS-2011 air show, Novikombank signed partnership agreements with the United Aircraft Corporation, UAC-Transport Aircraft, Ilyushin Finance Co., Myasishchev Design Bureau, the Aircraft Engineering Group, CSTS Dinamika, Russian Helicopters, MIL Moscow Helicopter Plant, as well as a trilateral agreement with Aviaagregat and Kamov, which are subsidiaries of the holding company Aircraft Equipment Concern and Russian Helicopters. The agreements imply that the bank will provide each company with a full range of banking products, including cash management services, lending, financing of production modernization programmes, the development of financial management systems, and other services.
At the air show, considerable attention was given to the Novikombank conference. “New financing opportunities for the defence, aviation and mechanical engineering industries in modern times.” The participants consisted of more than eighty executives from major Russian companies, who were given the opportunity to learn more about possible areas of cooperation and effective bank financing opportunities for ongoing and investment projects.
Novikombank is currently working actively with the real sector of the Russian economy and is one of the main providers of financing for the defence, engineering, aviation and automotive industries. The lending portfolio to these industries is worth over 20 billion roubles. The results of the MAKS-2011 air show and the agreements completed will lead to an increased number of operations, and extend the Bank's client base in key sectors of the economy.
