OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2011. Interpipe NTRP, the global leader in railway wheel manufacturing has presented its new railway wheels produced under the KLW brand at Rail Technology Exhibition EXPO 1520 in Moscow, Russia which took place 7-10 September, 2011. Rail Technology Exhibition EXPO 1520 is an international event where the latest advances in equipment, technology, infrastructure, services and logistics of the railway industry are presented.

Michael Iskov, Director for Railway Wheel Sales at Interpipe said: “This year KLW introduced two new products at EXPO 1520. We unveiled a wheel with an S-shaped disc made from a new steel grade with higher exploitation reliability. The new wheel design will enhance both reliability and operational safety thereby reducing future expenses. In addition, for the first time in Russia we have presented the 17th International Wheelset Congress (IWC) that will take place in Ukraine in 2013 – the first time in more than 50 years of the Congress that the event will be held in the CIS. Leading specialists from Ukrainian Railways, VNIIZHT will attend IWC as well as representatives from research institutes from Japan, Germany, the USA and South Africa.”

In 2010 the European Association of Railway Equipment Manufacturers chose Ukraine and the Interpipe Company as the local organizer of the 17th International Wheelset Congress.
