Omsk Oil Refinery Names New General Director
OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2011. Oleg Belyavsky was named the new General Director of Gazprom Neft’s Omsk Oil Refinery. Alexander Meling has stepped down from the post in connection with his retirement.
“The Company management appreciates Alexander Meling’s contribution to the development of the refining sector of Gazprom Neft. During his time of participation, the Company began to implement an ambitious program to modernise the refinery”, Anatoly Cherner, Gazprom Neft Deputy CEO for Logistics, Processing and Sales said. “I am also confident that Oleg Belyavsky’s expertise and experience working with Gazprom Neft Group’s refineries will enable him to maintain the course of this modernisation program and effectively continue working in this direction at the Omsk Oil Refinery”, Cherner concluded.

In 1996, he became Chief Technologist, then in 2000 Chief Engineer of the Omsk Refinery’s second plant. In October 2001, Oleg Belyavsky served as Head of Production of primary oil refining, and in October 2002 he was appointed Chief Engineer of the Omsk Oil Refinery.
In 2008-2009 he worked as Chief Engineer of the Omskneftekhimproekt project.
From 2009 to 2011 he served as Executive Director for Refining at the Serbian NIS oil company, a member of Gazprom Neft Group, and was later appointed Executive Director of the Omsk Oil Refinery, the post he held up to this point.
