China First Hydraulic Adjustable Mold Developed by CISDI Group
OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2011. CISDI Engineering Group (CISDI Group) announced that, the hydraulic adjustable mold independently developed by CISDI was successfully put into commissioning in No. 1 slab-caster in Meishan Steel Works of Baosteel, reported the press-centre of MCC Group.
After continuous casting for 36 furnaces, this device was proved to be stable in function, with a controlling precision up to 0.1mm. According to report, this is the very first set of hydraulic adjustable mold successfully developed in China.
The crystallizer hydraulic width-adjustment device, hydraulic servosystem and dynamic controlling technology with proprietary intellectual property rights owned by CISDI have been employed for this adjustable mold, so that the width and conicity of the crystallizer could be controlled on a real-time basis. On this ground, the adjustable mold is featured by high controlling precision, stable performance and simplified equipment structure.
The precise controlling on the width and conicity of the crystallizer is deemed to be a key condition to ensure the quality of the casting blank and the stable running of the continuous casting machine. With regard to the slab-casters designed by domestic engineering companies in the past time, the drifting of the width and conicity of the crystallizer has been a difficult problem for ensuring the stable performance of the casting machine.
Therefore the successful R&D made by CISDI Group in this field has filled the gap in the hydraulic width-adjustment for crystallizer in China.
