OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2011. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food asserts that quality of gathered wheat improves. At present, the ratio food wheat to forage wheat according the experts’ estimate is 70% to 30 %, though a few weeks ago it was about 60% to 40%.

"The certified grain warehouses received 9 443.2 thousand tons of grain (28% threshed), including wheat – 6 051 tons, barley – 2 099 thousand tons, peas – 67.9 thousand tons, rye – 64.7 tons. From 6 051 tons of wheat grade 1 constitutes 14 thousand tons (0.2%), grade 2 – 1 057 tons (17.5%), grade 3 – 2 415 thousand tons (40%), grade 4 – 120.2 thousand tons (2%), grade 5 – 738.4 thousand tons (12.2%), grade 6 – 1 642 thousand tons (27.1%)," these data lead the State grain inspection of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and regions.

In 2010, farmers have received 17.7 million tons of food grains, or 45% from a crop, forage – 21.5 million tons, or 55% from production.
