Titan-Agro Pig Complex Begins its Work
OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2011. “Firstling” of agroindustrial biocluster of federal project “PARK”* is ready for work: start-up objects of company limited “Titan-Agro” pig Complex – boar farm and pedigree farm – are waiting for the first batch of elected boars and sows (800 head in all). The objects have all necessary equipment installed, inner and outer finishing, part of rooms had been disinfected, commissioning is continued (watering, feeding and microclimate systems testing and adjustment is carried out), reported the press-centre of Titan.
Pig complex director Vyacheslav Styopochkin explained that the project was developed according to modern standards of pig breeding and offers multiareal system. Optimal technologies and best strains of pigs (Landras, Large White, Dyurok) were elected for efficient business. The supplier of equipment is Big Dutchman (Germany), a company which is well known in our country. Company Hermitage genetics (Ireland) supplied pedigree population.
All necessary conditions were provided for the future “dwellers” of the pig complex. Irish piglets will be brought to Omsk in the first decade of September. The conditions fit with world requirements for safety and sanitation norms. Right after arrival the piglets will be placed under quarantine, and since that moment period of their adaptation on Omsk land will start.
*Project “PARK: Industrial-Agricultural Regional Clusters” is realized in Omsk region by “GC “Titan” with support from regional Government. The project includes four clusters: agroindustrial, petrochemical, silicon and timber processing. The head of the project - Deputy of State Duma Mikhail Sutyaginsky.
