Belarusian Beer Output Rose 19.3%/yr in January-August 2011

OJSC Olivaria, based in the city of
OJSC Lidskoe Pivo (Lida Beer), in the Grodno Region, increased beer output 26.4% to 4.817 million decaliters.
OJSC Brest Beer produced 2.629 million decaliters of beer, up 21.8%.
Heineken Breweries companies’ output reached 7.854 million decaliters of beer in the period, up 34.1% on the year.
Beer output in plastic bottles went up 76.6% to 24.664 million decaliters, in glass bottles rose 15.7% to 5.252 million decaliters, in kegs increased 15.1% to 2.139 million decaliters and in cans fell 31.6% to 162,800 decaliters.
Belarusian beer supplies to domestic wholesalers and retailers increased 20.8% on the year in January-August to 28.481 million decaliters, supplies to overseas markets grew 26.2% to 4.472 million decalitres.
Krinitsa sales on the home market went up 0.9% to 7.891 million decaliters, exports 26% up to 2.873 million decalitres.
Brest Beer sales on the home market went up 26.5% to 2.109 million decaliters, exports 26.3% up to 615,000 decalitres.
Olivaria’s domestic sales went up 28.4% to 6.251 million decaliters, with exports totaling 144,900 declalitres to mark a threefold increase.
Lidskoe pivo sales on the domestic market increased 24.2% to 4.29 million decaliters, exports 47.7% up to 550.0 thousand decalitres.
Heineken Breweries companies’ export fell 8.5% to 281,000 decaliters of beer, while supplies to the home market grew 40.9% to 7.879 million decalitres.
