OREANDA-NEWS. September 14, 2011. On October 4-5, TNK-BP together with Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO will hold the 2nd Annual Corporate Technology Forum at the school’s Campus. According to Francis Sommer, Senior Vice President, Operations and Technology, more than 200 recognized technical experts, technology suppliers, cross-industry innovation and technology experts, TNK-BP specialists and leaders, representatives of major Russian and international service companies and Federal Authorities will attend the event.

- The purpose of the Forum is to share strategic priorities and outline implementation of new perspective technologies and approaches, e.g. for such matters as difficult-to-recover reserves, waterflood management, energy efficiency, efficient drilling and infrastructure re-engineering, - he said.

Besides, a Technology Fair Exhibition will be organized within the Forum which participants – contractors and R&D institutes – will present engineering solutions that are being currently used in the market. According to Emerson Milenski, Advisor to EVP Upstream, "TNK-BP will also have a chance to streamline a dialogue with oil service contractors and suppliers to develop those technologies that are still not offered cut and dried, using SKOLKOVO as a platform for interaction."

The 1st Technology Forum was held in December 2010 in Tyumen. Over 40 contractors participated in the Technology Sales Exhibition. Eight key presentations were made and five special lectures delivered; service companies were awarded in 4 nominations being TNK-BP best contractors in 2010.
