OREANDA-NEWS. September 14, 2011. Auto Engineering Center of Chery Automobile Co. attained a certificate of acknowledgement of National Laboratory, which was conferred by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS).

The engineering center was formally listed on CNAS' catalogue and assessment report produced by the center will be recognized by over 60 countries and regions including the United States, Germany, Japan, Britain and Canada. It's a step forward of major importance in improving Chery vehicle's quality, brand and competitiveness.

The center was put into operation in July, 2010 with total investment of 1.5 billion yuan. The first phase project occupies an area of 300,000 square meters, comprised of 23 professional sections such as NVH testing runway, collision center, material center, and auto parts center.

The center now has annual capacity of developing 30 brand new car models and testing 2 million whole cars.
