OREANDA-NEWS. September 14, 2011. Introduce a new format for the development of domestic production is impossible without an active investment and innovation policy.

This was stated by the First Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Andriy Klyuyev, commenting on the draft of the State Program of development of internal production adopted by the Government.

As he said, development of innovations demands increase in an active role of the state as these processes are associated with high risks.

"For the restructuring of the economy over which we operate today, it is important to lay the foundation of innovation development," Andriy Klyuyev declared.

According to him, Ukraine has its own scientific and technological potential for a number of breakthroughs and critical technologies.  "Our task - to find its niche in the international division of labor, based on our own research and development, and consistently support the relevant research," the First Vice Prime Minister told.

First of all, according to Andriy Klyuyev, the Government will work over development of an innovative infrastructure which will include forming of a network of scientific parks, technoparks, business incubators, the centers of a transfer of technologies. One of directions of activization of an investment and innovation policy he named development of venture financing.
Andriy Klyuyev has reported that the system of the state support of the new innovative companies at a starting stage and stimulus for introduction of the innovative investment projects directed to provision of priority development of internal production is created.

"It is planned to concentrate its resources on priority directions only, not to spend it for development of those technologies on which other countries have gone far ahead and for which we should borrow only world's achievements," the First Vice Prime Minister declared.

According to Andriy Klyuyev, at a preliminary estimates of experts, the necessary resources to implement the latest technological systems in the early stages, will reach 10-15 billion USD.
