OREANDA-NEWS. September 14, 2011. TNK-BP has become the General Partner of the 2nd International Innovation Forum “NEFTGAZTEK-2011”. The conference, which will take place on September 20-21 at the West Siberian Innovation Centre in Tyumen, will bring together approximately 500 representatives from energy companies, venture and seed funds, medium-sized and small businesses, and science centers, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP. 

Speeches on the tasks facing the country’s energy sector will be made by the President of the Union of Oil and Gas Industrialists of Russia Gennadiy Shmal, the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology Denis Khramov, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Ural Federal District Evgeny Kuyvashev, and the Governor of Tyumen Region Vladimir Yakushev.

According to TNK-BP Management Vice President Oleg Chemezov, the Tyumen region is one Russia’s key areas as it has a high concentration of organizations with considerable experience in developing fields, transporting hydrocarbons, capital construction and oil field service work. The forum will give them an opportunity to present their vision for the future of Russia’s oil and gas industry, the use of advanced technologies, and to highlight new oil and gas regions that will become centers of economic and production growth in the country’s economy.

“Thanks to the initiative taken by the organizers of this event – the Government of Tyumen Region – and the support of our company, the region has a new platform for exchanging unique experiences and offering innovative solutions that are certain to be of value to the Russian oil and gas sector”, Chemezov concluded.
