OREANDA-NEWS. September 13, 2011. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated a case against the Ministry of Samara Region for Health Care and Social Development upon the signs of violating the antimonopoly law, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

FAS suspects that the Ministry of Samara Region for Health Care and Social Development violated Clauses 2 and 3 Part 1 Article 15 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” by issuing No. UF-0/1 Letter “On Counterfeit Medicines” of 17th January 2011 and disseminating it among economic entities.

According to FAS Russia, this letter can unreasonably prevent companies’ activities because it sets requirements to economic entities, that are not provided for by the law of the Russian Federation, and restricts their rights for selling and buying goods.

The case is scheduled for 29th September 2011.
