Azerbaijan Put off Holding International Symposium on Innovations
OREANDA-NEWS. September 12, 2011. Public association of Intellectual Property & Innovations has put off holding of international symposium " Transfer of innovative technologies: marketing and conclusion of contracts".
Chairman of Public association of Intellectual Property & Innovations Aminaga Sadigov has reported that the symposium will be held at the expense of the grant of Science Development Fund under the Azerbaijani President for AZN 25.000.
To receive the grant we must conclude an agreement with the Fund for which the project should pass preliminary corresponding registration in Tax Ministry and carry out a number of other technical works. If we conclude a contract with the Fund by late September we can hold symposium planned for late September , in December. But with corresponding permission we would put off the event for April-May 2012 so that the guests participating in the symposium could get acquainted with nature of Azerbaijan",- he noted.
According to A. Sadigov total project cost is 39,000 manat. Within the four-day symposium it is expected to invite 10 international high-level experts for the event for holding training and workshops in Azerbaijan.
The project aim is to increase the influence of scientific work in the development of country’s innovative activities, foster economy as a whole and non-oil sector in particular by protecting intellectual property rights. The symposium will raise issues of marketing for use of new technologies, conclusion of contracts, research the issues of protection of intellectual property rights.
The symposium will focus on the question of equitable distribution of intellectual property rights between the government, academic institution and the author of a scientific achievement or technology in the process of their transfer.
