OREANDA-NEWS. September 12, 2011. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport is to finish work on alignment of intellectual transport system in two out of the 11 administrative districts of Baku by the end of September.

Sadraddin Mammadov, head of the Department of Transport Policy & Economy of the Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan, says that currently work is underway on laying cables and link-up of cables of Yasamal and Nasimi administrative districts to the Intellectual Transport Management Centre.

"By the end of this month we’ll complete work on this section and start adjustment and connecting of the intellectual network, covering the Nizami and Khatayi districts of the capital and further towards the center of the system," he emphasized.

Mammadov says that today 90% of work on alignment of the intellectual system has been completed and the system will be put into operation fully in the 4th quarter of 2011.
