OREANDA-NEWS. September 12, 2011. Since March, 2010 till August, 2011 in Ukraine licensing 23 types (32 %) economic activities, which realization is not connected with threat of a security of the state, a life and health of people, deterioration of a condition of an environment as well as concerning which there are other means of state regulation was cancelled. Relevant Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding the limitation of state regulation of economic activity" (№ 2608) The Verkhovna Rada adopted on October 19, 2010.

Number of work defined by license terms that are unreasonably subjected to licensing (2046 types of works from 2268) reduced to 90% by licensing body.

According to conservative estimates of the International Finance Corporation it will help the private sector of Ukraine save only for administrative costs associated with obtaining licenses revoked for at least USD 15 million annually.

In order to simplify procedures for obtaining licenses, reducing the number of documents attached to application for a license, and according to the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on the restriction of commercial activities", the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decree "On Amendments to the list documents attached to application for a license for a particular type of economic activity" № 712 of 22 June 2011, which amends the list of documents attached to the application for a license for a particular type of economic activity.

Implementing of the regulations will create proper conditions for economic activities subject to licensing; reduce administrative barriers to entering business entities into the business.

Thus, for most types of business from the list of documents attached entities to the application for license is excluded: copies of documents proving ownership of the business entity or rent production spaces (the premises), facilities, equipment, etc., copies of documents confirming compliance with the educational and qualification requirements for personnel proceeding related activities, and information on the status of logistics business entity, issued by authorized institutions. Instead, the entity given the opportunity to declare in the information (in the form established by the license terms) signed by the head of the subject the presence of: their own or leased production space (facilities), facilities, equipment, specialists with relevant educational and qualification level, and a material-technical base necessary for the conduct of the relevant business activity.
