SOCAR to Open Oil Terminal in Emirates in November
OREANDA-NEWS. September 9, 2011. SOCAR Trading, a trade house of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), is going to start operating Aurora terminal in Fujairah port (UAE).
Socar Trading Chief Executive Valery Golovushkin has stated that the terminal will start operating in November.
" At the first stage capacity of storage terminal will make 650.000 cu m of oil",- Golovushkin said.
SOCAR Trading S.A. is a co-owner of terminal SOCAR AURORA Fujairah Terminal in the United Arab Emirates designed for petroleum products of the third party.
Together with Swiss trade company Aurora Progress the company commences co-operation on the construction of a terminal for oil products with capacity 641,000 cu m in UAE port Fujayra.
The issue of terminal’s use for SOCAR’s products is not considered. SOCAR AURORA Fujairah Terminal will have 20 reservoirs for oil products, gasoline, kerosene and middle distillates (diesel fuel, gasoil and jet fuel).
As independent operator SOCAR AURORA Fujairah Terminal will store output of third parties.
