Moldcell Launches TeliaSonera Survey
OREANDA-NEWS. September 08, 2011. Moldcell launches in the Republic of Moldova the first TeliaSonera survey of international level to find out the tendencies in telecommunications.
“What services do you use most often on your mobile phone?”, “How many devices do you have connected to the Internet or wireless network in your house?”, “What would you do with the help of your phone, if you had a possibility?” – these are several questions from the first Trends survey launched in the Republic of Moldova by Moldcell company.
Starting from this year, users of mobile communication in the Republic of Moldova are invited to express their opinions in the surveys conducted on the international level by TeliaSonera group – the major shareholder of Moldcell company. TeliaSonera publishes prognoses and analyses of the trends in its annual reports on telecommunication trends.
TeliaSonera launches Trends application in 12 countries concomitantly. The realization of surveys on diverse markets will allow global comparison of trends in telecommunications. Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Lithuania and Kazakhstan are the first markets where the application was launched. Spain, Estonia, Latvia, Moldova, Azerbaijan and Georgia followed. Annually 4 basic surveys will take place that will be accompanied by supplementary questions depending on the subject.
Moldcell Trends surveys in the Republic of Moldova will be carried out through a mobile application. Being a pioneer of the telecommunication market, Moldcell uses its own mobile technologies, including mobile application Moldcell Trends, which give the operator a possibility to make researches in real time and to get the more exact factual analyses and prognoses of trends.

To perform the updated and relevant analysis of the tendencies during the year, Moldcell Trends application will have four surveys per year focused on issues of major importance. The application is aimed at people who want to influence and to contribute to the development of future generation of telecommunication services. Moldcell needs the opinion of the clients, either they are independent users, corporate clients or experts in telecommunications.”
Trends application can be downloaded to the mobile phones with the following operating systems:
- iOS (for iPhone, the client can find the application in App Store);
- Android (mobile phones of brand Samsung, HTC, SonyEricsson, LG, Motorola,
ZTE, Huawei, Acer, Dell etc., the client can find the application in Android Market);
- Symbian (phones of brand Nokia).
The application can be also downloaded from www.moldcell.md/trends/. If the clients, who want to participate in the surveys, do not have a model of the phone given in the list above, they can answer the questions online following the same link www.moldcell.md/trends/ and choosing Web option.
When the installation is over, the respondents should register to get an access to the surveys, results and the news about the latest tendencies in telecommunications. Once registered, the respondents can answer the questions of the survey. The download of the application is free.
