OREANDA-NEWS. September 08, 2011. In July-August, the government adopted a whole number of legislative acts, stipulated by the Plan of Actions for realization of the European Commission’s recommendations, including the Law on competition, the Law on state assistance, the Food Security Strategy for 2011-2015, the government’s decree on alterations and supplements to 53 legislative acts in the banking sector, including to the Law on the NBM.

According to the Deputy Minister of Economy Octavian Calmic, Moldova’s achievements reflected in the progress report give hope that the European Commission will support the beginning of the negotiation process over signing of the Agreement on free trade Moldova-EU at the Eastern Partnership Summit to be held in Poland.

Initiation of the negotiation process over signing the Agreement used to be planned to the beginning of 2012. The third progress report will be submitted to the European Commission this October.
