Power Machines Completed Order for Belarus Power Industry
OREANDA-NEWS. September 7, 2011. Kaluga Turbine Works (KTZ JSC), a branch of Power Machines, has produced and shipped power equipment for Vitebskaya CHP (Belarus).
KTZ signed a contract with Vitebskenergo, Republican Unitary Enterprise, in August 2010. Under the terms of the contract, KTZ is to manufacture a 50 MW PT-40/50-8.8-1.0 steam turbine and to deliver a generator produced by Elektrotyazhmash – Privod, LLC (Lysva, Perm Region). KTZ is also responsible for installation supervision of the supplied equipment as well as for training plant employees.
At present the power equipment is shipped to the client. It is going to replace outdated equipment at one of the 35 MW units at Vitebskaya CHP. Tht first phase of Vitebskaya CHP was put into operation in 1953. The plant's installed capacity of the plant is 75 MW.
