OREANDA-NEWS. September 7, 2011. Early September Masaki Ota, an expert of the Japanese corporation Toyota visited  Mashinostroitelny Zavod (a part of the Fuel Company of ROSATOM TVEL).

A goal of his visit was to consult on approaches to improvement of the production system based on operational principles of Toyota.

The meeting was attended by representatives of  Rosenergoatom Concern, JSC TVEL, MSZ managers and specialists.

Assessing results of development of the ROSATOM Production System at MSZ, Mr. Ota said: “When I visited the facility last year, I was shown to separate pilot sections where RPS was implemented. Those were scattered islands. But this year I saw whole process lines which interact and united by a common concept. On my part I appraise the results gained by MSZ very high, but the system is not equally developed at all lines. Therefore, my wish is not to rest on your laurels and raise the sections which are behind to the general good level.”

In 2010 an economic effect of RPS implementation amounted to 115.2 million rubles.
