OREANDA-NEWS. September 07, 2011. Societe Generale China issued UnionPay RMB debit cards in Beijing. The UnionPay RMB debit cards will serve Chinese retail banking customers, reported the press-centre of Societe Generale.

Societe Generale China CEO Zhang Yongguang said that the joint issuing of the RMB debit cards with China UnionPay is another milestone for the bank, which has operated in China for 30 years, and is an important part of RMB retail business in China.

Pierre Bonzom, Head of Commercial and Personal Banking of Societe Generale China, said that the RMB debit card offers value-added services including wealth management, insurance and preferential consumption.
