OREANDA-NEWS. September 07, 2011. The Slovak Republic is very interested to advance cooperation with Ukraine in the energy sector. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia Mikolas Dzurinda during his meeting with the Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.

“We are extremely interested in the integration of our energy systems” - the Foreign Minister of Slovakia noted.

According Mikolas Dzurinda, his country also wants to participate in the reconstruction of Ukrainian gas pipelines. “We have certificated enterprises which are engaged in such activity. Recently such activity is led in a direction of Serbia where signing of corresponding contracts begins. And we with the great pleasure would take part in similar projects with Ukraine. Three consortia with French and the German capital are ready to submit requests for tenders which announce Ukraine”, - the Minister has declared.

In addition, has noted Mikolas Dzurinda, the Slovak companies are very interested in extraction of shale gas and the development of the Black Sea shelf.
