OREANDA-NEWS. September 6, 2011.  Subscribers of the Russian Tele2 network can now use the mobile Internet and send SMSs when travelling on an Aeroflot OJSC flight. The cost of services is in line with national roaming rates (25 rubles for one megabyte of Internet traffic, and 4.5 rubles for an SMS).

Roaming services on board Aeroflot flights are provided by the Russian mobile communication operator, Megaphone. Users can communicate via their mobiles when the aircraft reaches 3,000 meters or more. Roaming services are available during national and international flights.

Tele2 continues to develop ground-based international roaming. Mobile Internet services and multimedia messages became available to Russian subscribers of the company when they were within the Bouygues network (France). Tele2’s international roaming services are provided at very favorable prices: 18 rubles for one minute of conversation, 9 rubles for an SMS, and 50 rubles for 1 megabyte of Internet traffic.
