OREANDA-NEWS. September 06, 2011. For eight months 2011 it is carried 419,2 million tons of cargos - by 10,3 % over in comparison with the similar period of 2010. Thus volumes of a cargo transportation grow annually: for eight months 2010 it has been transported 380,2 million tons of cargos, in 2009 - 337 million tons. This was announced by the Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Infrastructure Borys Kolesnikov during press conference following the results of industry activity for the summer period and for 8 months 2011 which has taken place.

In particular from the beginning of year it is transported by rail 304 million tons of cargos, by sea and river - 2,211 million tons, by air - 0,05 million tons, by motor transport - 112,9 million tons. In marine trading ports it was processed 74 million 85 thousand tons of freights. The greatest gain in comparison with last year - on motor transport  +15,4 %, on a railway transportation +8,6 %, aircraft +7,4 %.

Thus, on Boris Kolesnikov's belief, saving the set rates, following the results of a year it will be possible to leave on a parameter of rail transportation in 480 million tons of freights, and in the first half of the year of next year - to overcome a 500-million boundary on transportation of freights.

Following the results of 8 months 2011 it is transported 2 million 751 thousand 200 passengers by all types of transport. “The most revealing aviation: each year the number of Ukrainians who fly on the rise. For example, summer of this year - and it most a peak period for passenger air transport services - air transport services have used by 22 % of passengers more than in the last summer, and the difference between parameters 2009 and 2011 - for two years - at all is impressive: 2,6 million passengers in the summer of this year - against 1,8 million passengers in 2009, - the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine told. – Since the beginning of the year "flew" nearly 5 million passengers - 4 million 20 thousand in 2010 (an increase of 24%)”.

Boris Kolesnikov has noticed that all the international air transport services - by 40 %, internal - by 12 % in this summer have grown.

Transit level has essentially grown also. If parameters 2010 and regarding cargo handling in ports were almost identical 2009, this year it was possible to reach essential growth on cargo handling: 74 million 8 thousand tons (at 71 million in 2010 and 2009).

“This year we worked over transit returning in the Ukrainian ports: the Ministry of Infrastructure has started to implement the flexible tariff policy on transit. Through the provision of a transit tariff preferences - discounts from 18 % to 50 % to accord rates for transit processing in ports - we have reached transit growth”, - Boris Kolesnikov told. So if to compare parameters of this summer to the past in 2011 transit has grown by 17,6 %, and all from the beginning of year - by 21 % (from 21 million 228 thousand tons in 2010 to 26 million 842 thousand  tons in 2011).
