OREANDA-NEWS. September 06, 2011. The Government will adopt a program of import substitution at next session. The Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said this at a meeting with journalists in Kiev.

"Now the Government actively works on the program of import substitution. I think that at the nearest session of the Government this program will be approved. That is, practically on each position of import we will find possibilities for partial replacement of import with production of a domestic production", - Mykola Azarov noted.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the program would provide creation of favourable conditions to the domestic enterprises by manufacture of the goods that replace import. As he said, the program would be written out so that to not break a condition of WTO. "The program includes a number of organizational measures which will allow to direct means of state and local budgets on spurs for our manufacturers. We will do it extremely accurately as we are members of WTO and have to provide equal possibilities for foreign and domestic enterprises, but we write out the program so that domestic commodity producers can adequately compete to other offers", - the Prime Minister summed up.
