OREANDA-NEWS. September 06, 2011. Indrek Puskar, corporate banking director of Sampo Pank in recent six years and director of Sampo Liising for two years earlier, has decided to take some time off and pass the baton. From the 1st of September Marek Zacek will become corporate banking director of Sampo Pank, reported the press-centre of Sampo Pank.

„I have worked with a number of good colleagues in all these years, together we have gone through fire and water. In the boom years we increased the bank’s loan portfolios and in recent years we have tried to be as successful as possible in the current economic conditions. I feel that it is the right time to take a short rest now,” admitted Puskar.

„I thank Indrek for his contribution and long-term commitment. Although it is always a sad event when a colleague leaves the company, it is also a natural process in life. I wish him a lot of success in the future,” said Sampo Pank’s CEO Aivar Rehe.

According to Marek Zacek being part of the big banking group provides good opportunities for Sampo Pank’s corporate banking in the Estonian market despite tough competition.

“In my view Sampo Pank’s corporate services division faces a pleasant challenge to tread on its competitors’ toes in the good sense, because the bank that belongs to one of the largest Nordic banking groups like Danske Bank Group has a lot to offer to both domestic and international companies,” stated Zacek.

I know that Marek is a result oriented person and he highly appreciates professional customer service. Our aim is to boost corporate banking even more actively and to provide the best service in the market,” noted Rehe.

Earlier Marek Zacek worked as a member of the management board of the insurance companies and the asset management company of ERGO Baltic; he was also responsible for the sale of investment products in Hansapank (Swedpank).
