OREANDA-NEWS. Starting from 25 March 2012, Estonian Air will operate direct flights between Tallinn and Jyvaskyla. The flights will be operated seven times a week: daily flights on weekdays on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and double flights on Sundays, reported the press-centre of Estonian Air.

The flight schedule offers convenient connections for business and leisure travellers between Tallinn and Jyvaskyla. “The schedule allows the customers good connections via Tallinn to Scandinavia, CIS, Benelux and Baltic countries.” said Tero Taskila, the President and CEO of Estonian Air. “Opening the Jyvaskyla-Tallinn route is our first step in moving into Finnish market,” added Taskila.

"Jyvaskyla is one of Finland’s most significant urban regions. Continued growth in air travel sends a positive message that our area is attractive and interesting. Our international city is pleased to welcome this new carrier," says Markku Andersson, Mayor of Jyvaskyla.

"We warmly welcome Estonian Air. New initiatives in tourism and business are important to Central Finland, and will bring new life to the area around the airport while increasing the range of travel alternatives available to people in the region," says Ari Hiltunen, Managing Director of Jyvaskyla Regional Development Company Jykes Ltd.
