OREANDA-NEWS. September 06, 2011. Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd held 3rd session management study in Talent Development Institute of Baosteel on 23rd August. Focusing on the theme "Make benchmark to find out the gap Take measures to enhance the competitiveness " , Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd requested that facing with severe market environment, for the better development and tackling of future competition, the executives shall make great efforts to find out the gap, make system planning and sound implementation of the plan by standing on the common ground, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.     

Chairman of the Board of Baosteel Group Xu Lejiang, General Manager of Baosteel Group, Chairman of the Board of Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd and Secretary of CPC Committee of Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd He Wenbo, General Manager of Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd Ma Guoqiang and executives above assistant general manager of Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd and partial leaders directly managed by Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd with a total sum of 150 people attended the study and witnessed the signing ceremony of 'responsibility agreement of target during terms of office' among trial units of Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.

Vice Secretary of CPC Committee of Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd Zhu Junsheng hosted the study and delivered the opening speech. He stated that this study as an extension of the first study held in May, aims to enhance understanding of leaders of each level on the standard of world first-class enterprise and explore how to make Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd to world top enterprise and carry out implementation of ' Opinions on implementation of discussion activity of finding out gap, making strong and excellent enterprise ' issued by Committee of CPC of Baosteel Group. He hoped that leader of each level shall carry out the implementation by taking problems seriously and finding out exact gap in strict and serious manner.

Ma Guoqiang delivered theme report of 'Make benchmark to find out the gap Take measures to enhance competitiveness of the company ' . The report covers 3 sections of understanding on world top enterprise, judging our competitiveness by making benchmark and finding out the gap, measures that we shall take, etc and tells why the company needs to be world top class enterprise and how to consider the gap between the company and world top class enterprise, in details. Mr Ma also raised suggestions on how to promote the competitiveness of company's products, how to promote competitiveness of product in a strategic level and how to promote the core competitiveness of the company by carrying out environmental management and made specific instructions on activities of next stage. 

Xu Lejiang addressed an important speech. He stated that currently China is making economic transforming and steel enterprises are facing tough issues such as structural adjustment,etc which is very urgent. Under competitive environment in which relation of supply and demand has already changed, that how Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd will tackle with challenge and keep developing is a very important issue to be figured out. He pointed out that study is aiming to find out and gap by making benchmark and take measures to enhance competitiveness of the company. This needs everyone to deal with the changes by transforming thought and breaking inertial thinking. Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd shall make system planning and combine hard and soft power together by considering overall situation if the company wants to maintain the position of the best company among steel enterprises. We need to understand the gap with benchmarking enterprise completely, find out the reason and take measures to make plan adaptive to competition in the future by making and carrying out specific measures in specific work.

Xu Lejiang requests that leaders of each level shall further consolidate the results of study, keep clear mind without being careless and gather power for the future competition as per system planning made by managing team of Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd through everyone acting quickly and working hard altogether. Each section shall take active measures to promote quality of product and reduce energy consumption and consolidate team construction to promote work efficiency. We shall follow the request of "PDCA+earnest" to carry on each item of specific work in well-grounded way step by step and strive to further strengthen Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.
