OREANDA-NEWS. September 05, 2011. A delegation from Bashneft, led by Company President Alexander Korsik, made a working visit to the Nenets Autonomous District. During the visit, a meeting took place with NAO governor Igor Fedorov, at which issues related to the development of the R. Trebs and A. Titov oilfields as well as the implementation of priority projects in the district and the development of its social infrastructure were discussed, reported the press-centre of Bashneft.

At the meeting, Alexander Korsik stated that Bashneft is focused on building a constructive relationship with the leaders of all the regions in which it operates, and, in this regard, the NAO would not be an exception. The President noted that he considers it his duty to ensure that the Company complies with all environmental regulations, contributes to the strengthening of the region’s infrastructure and addresses social issues. He emphasized that the resolution of these matters will encourage successful business development.

It was also noted at the meeting that Bashneft is at the beginning of the project to develop the R. Trebs and A. Titov oilfields. The Company is currently engaged in engineering design and is beginning to conduct seismic operations.The first oil production is planned for 2013.

Bashneft First Vice President for Exploration and Production Mikhail Stavski and the General Director of Bashneft Polus LLC Vitaly Litvinenko took part in the meeting with the governor of the Nenets Autonomous District.
