OREANDA-NEWS. September 2, 2011. The main enterprise of “NIBULON”- the transshipment terminal in Mykolayiv known far beyond Ukraine was visited by Counselor for Economic Affairs of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine  Ms.Chever Voltmer.

The meeting took place in the framework of the working visit of Ms. Voltmer to the Mykolayiv region, which lasted from the 30th to the 31st of August. When Ms. Voltmer was coordinating the plan of her visit to the region, she intended to familiarize with the economy of the Mykolayiv region and to visit several leading companies in the region.

She told that her desire to visit the company’s transshipment terminal was not accidental. Counselor herself knows pretty much about the Ukrainian company, and her colleague, the EBRD Director for Ukraine Andre Kuusvek during personal meeting said that “NIBULON” has to be necessarily visited. Mr. Kuusvek has repeatedly been at the transshipment terminal and expressed his sincere admiration.

During the visit to the transshipment terminal Ms. Voltmer was accompanied by Mayor of Mykolayiv Volodymyr Chayka and diplomat of the economic department of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine Alex Ryanand economic assistant Valentyna Syza. The guests visited enterprises of “NIBULON” primarily, devoting the whole day for that.

Director General of “NIBULON”, Hero of Ukraine Oleksiy Vadaturskyy personally met the guests at the terminal. Actually, as an owner he undertook an honorable mission of the guide.

During the excursion the guests got acquainted with the production process on the enterprise, looked over the production facilities. They were able to observe the process of loading the vessel with grain (they noticed an absence of dust pollution), looked over the non-self-propelled fleet of the company and boarded a non-self-propelled vessel, got familiar with the process of sighting of vehicles etc.

When Ms. Voltmer was in the new laboratory and administrative building and looked over the laboratory, she drew attention to the large number of laboratory equipment produced in the USA. Oleksiy Vadaturskyy replied: “The USA is the standard in the analysis of grain products quality. This concerns both the level of technical support and level of proficiency of workers. The American experience is recognized worldwide. Our company has kept up with the times, thus in our labs, we use only the best equipment of the world. Thus one can say for sure that everything that can be done by professionals in grain laboratories of the USA, our professionals can do also.”

The guests shoved their sincere appreciation with scientific and technological level and production organization during the excursion at the terminal. They had no idea that the agricultural company in its labs is able not only to analyze the grain, but also determine the quality of flour and bread, select GMO, mycotoxins and heavy metals, and also to analyze soil, water and air!

Mykolayiv shipbuilding yard “Okean” has become the next stage of the excursion. After a pleasant speed motor-boating, they arrived in the yard, where they visited the first newly built “NIBULON’s” tug – “NIBULON-1”. They inspected the residential cabins, came down to the machine space, visited the deck-house. The guests also boarded the tug of the second series – “NIBULON-2”, which is currently at the berth of the yard and where works on completion of construction of this tug are actively continued.

The guests and representatives of the company also visited “NIBULON’s” headquarter where they were joined by Deputy Director General for Trade Andriy Vadaturskyy. Negotiations were held there, by their character rather resembled a friendly conversation of professionals. The situation in agricultural market of Ukraine and the world market as a whole was the topic of the conversation. The guests analyzed everything they’ve seen and showed a delight of different kinds of investment activity of the company, which demonstrates its patriotism. However, they expressed surprise why such a strong company which invests enormous resources in the economy of Ukraine can be treated so casually.

The guests from the USA showed their respect because the Ukrainian company “NIBULON” in the domestic grain market has a tough time as well as American companies in Ukraine. But “NIBULON” does not wait for support and continues to move forward despite all obstacles.

Ms. Voltmer noted that such an independent position, consistent struggle, including the possibility of continuation of the investment activity demonstrates the leading position of the company in the Ukrainian agricultural market. Also at the end of the conversation, she was pleased to inform the partner about the measures to normalize the situation in the Ukrainian agricultural market, taken by the international community and the US Embassy in Ukraine in particular. She said that these measures are aimed at improving the investment climate in Ukraine and improving the lives of Ukrainian citizens.

A visit to the transshipment terminal of “Novoodes’ka” branch was the final stage of the guests’ familiarizing with “NIBULON” after the negotiations. The guests were united in their conclusion after they visited company’s branch, which is located on the Southern Bug River: “We saw with our own eyes, what development your company is able to achieve in the conditions of modern Ukraine, the modern market. We assure ourselves how powerfully and complex you can invest in Ukraine. We think there is not such a developed company neither in Europe nor in America. This success inspires respect and admiration.”
