OREANDA-NEWS. September 2, 2011. At the start of a new academic year, ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. (JSC Atomredmetzoloto) has announced its initiative to hold the first environmental education forum for youth – ECOLINE-2011.

The Forum’s first stage will involve ECOart environmental photography competition, Under the SOS Sign contest of social video made by youngsters and a competition of nature conservation posters – My Green Planet. Detailed information on participation requirements, submission deadlines and assessment criteria is available at JSC Atomredmetzoloto web-site.

Laureates will be announced during the Forum’s second stage on October 11–13, 2011. Award winners will receive valuable gifts from ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.

Within the frames of ECOLINE-2011 second stage, a number of education events are scheduled to be held in Chita and Krasnokamensk. The Trans-Baikal State University will host a plenary session Role of Uranium in Today’s Energy Industry including presentations by senior managers and experts from JSC Atomredmetzoloto and JSC Priargunsky Mining and Chemical Works.

Furthermore, School No. 7 of Krasnokamensk will become venue of education conference Ionizing Radiation, or Unwinding Radiation Mysteries destined for high school students as well as such workshops as Exploration and Mining Geology, Mine Surveying and Chemical Engineering, which are destined for pupils undertaking profession-oriented studies. All high school students of Krasnokamensk are welcome to take part in the conference.

 ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. intends to organize the ECOLINE Forum annually.
