OREANDA-NEWS. September 2, 2011. i-Free will help organize this year’s Mobilefest, a popular annual forum bringing together mobile application developers and mobile Internet professionals. The Fest will take place at Severny Sklon sports complex near St. Petersburg on 8-10 September.

Pioneering solutions and new ideas in mobile technology have always been strategic priorities for i-Free, so the company’s role in the upcoming Mobilefest – a showcase of the industry’s best and brightest – comes as a logical segue.

“The market of smartphones and mobile apps is growing very fast, and this promises great opportunities for Russian developers. Their products will be available to two hundred million people worldwide, and the more successful of them may well emerge as new global brands,” said Kirill Petrov, Managing Director of i-Free Innovations, in relation to the company’s role in Mobilefest. “I’m glad to say that there are many successful teams in Russia already: SPb Software with its product SPB Shell, Game Insight with its games My Country and Paradise Island, Zeptolab which has scored an international hit with its Cut the Rope, MSR Limited with its best-selling music player Power Amp, Herocraft with the game Majesty, JoyBits with its hard-hitting Doodle God, and some others. All these companies will be at MobileFest, which is a truly unique venue where both market leaders and fledgling businesses and startups can meet and share their expertise.”

This year’s Mobilefest will feature upwards of 100 projects in mobile telephony, mobile Internet and mobile applications. Reports and presentations will be made by some of the leading professionals from the mobile industry: Mikhail Chernomordikov (Microsoft), Aleksei Kokin (Nokia), Olga Egorova (Samsung), Aleksei Ryazantsev (LG), Andrei Kiselev and Ola Larsen (Blackberry), Olga Steidl (SPB Software), and professionals and top executives from Alawar Entertainment, Herocraft, Zeptolab, Game Insight, JoyBits, Da Suppa, Pixonic and other companies.

Aigrind will unveil its multiuser mobile online game Warspear On-Line, which is fast gaining popularity. i-Free staff will tell the forum about the company’s business in the publication of mobile products.

Mobilefest is not a typical industry forum as it combines a serious conference with an outdoor music festival. Mobilefest’s signature is its creative, egalitarian atmosphere, in which participants can interact easily and without formality.

The acts to play this year’s Mobilefest include Ploshchad Vosstaniya, Po Umolchaniyu, Submarine, Clubbing Muslims, DJ Nikita Che, Fusion Point, Innoe, Kim and Buran, Von Stephaniz. Sports activities will include zorb riding and other amusements.
