OREANDA-NEWS. September 02, 2011. An acceptance test for the "Fire Alarming System with Multi-source Information Fusion for Mining Safety" research project was held at the Datong Coal Mine Group lately. The project belongs to the Supporting Sci & Tech Research Program in China's "Eleventh Five-year Plan", reported the press-centre of Datong Coal Mine.

The test panel is made up of 14 experts and specialists from the National Work Place Emergency Management Center of the State Administration of Work Safety, China Coal Research Institute and China University of Mining & Technology.

The project was unanimously accepted after sessions of presentation, demonstration, material check and appraisal, and questions and defence. The text panel agreed that the materials prepared by project participants are substantial in content and related data reliable.

The successful development of the "Fire Alarming System with Multi-source Information Fusion for Mining Safety" will promote effectively fire-prevention and fire-extinguishing level in terms of equipment and technology, sharply reduce fire risk and guarantee work safety in coal mines.
