Kazakhtelecom Increased Megaline Hit Speed
OREANDA-NEWS. September 02, 2011. Kazakhtelecom starts increasing the speed under his Megaline Hit tariff in areas populated less than regional centres, reported the press-centre of KASE.
If technical capabilities allow it, the speed will be increased to 2,048 Kbit/s for external resources and to 4,096 Kbit/s - for internal, which corresponds with speed parameters set for cities of Almaty, Astana, Semey and regional centres. For populated centres lacking technical resources for the announced speed, there will be used a reducing ratio of 0.75 of the monthly fee before there is technical resources in place making it possible to increase the speed.
Besides, from September 1, 2011 in areas with scarce technical capabilities – 2 Mbit/s for external resources and 4 Mbit/s - for internal resources, a reducing ratio of 0.75 of the monthly fee is introduced for tariffs Megaline Hit iD Phone and Megaline Light iD Phone.
Also, from September 1 this year there will be a discount range for educational institutions for broad-band, provided via satellites based on Sky Edge, to the amount of 73.11% to 81.90% depending upon the port's throughput. Discount for unlimited access to the Internet with throughput capability of 64-128 Kbit/s, based on Sky Star Advantage, will make up 36.63%.
