Azerbaijan’s Energy Operator Announced Power Charge Rise
OREANDA-NEWS. September 1, 2011. National energy operator of Azerbaijan, Azerenerji OJSC, has declared this July’s decline of 27.7% in revenues from sales of electricity in the country versus December 2010 and rise of 8.4% against July 2010.
For Jan-July 2011 the charge for power dropped by 11.4% against indicator for the entire last year, but grew by 2% versus the index for seven months of 2010.
The operator informs that this July power consumption was 597.7 million kWh versus 507.7 million kWh in June, 493.7 million kWh in May, 555.6 million in April, 519.7 million kWh in March and 581 million kWh in December 2010. At that, charge for consumed electricity made up 87% against 120.4% of its value in December 2010.
Over Jan-July 2011 overall power consumption amounted to 3.933 bn kWh and charge of its cost made up 83.3% against consumption of 6.316 bn kWh and payment at the level of 94% in 2010.
