SOCAR Terminal Increase Its Capacity to 162 Fuel Oil Tanks per Day
OREANDA-NEWS. September 1, 2011. The project of Black Sea terminal (BST Ltd) capacity increase in Georgian Kulevi Port has been prepared. It is owned by State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
BST Ltd reports that recently BST Engineering team has prepared a project on modification of bottom unloading devices. The project is designed for the purpose of increasing capacity of fuel oil discharge from railway tank cars at the Terminal Trestles. All preliminary works, including agreement of the project, thorough selection of materials, risk assessment and other important factors, have been already done according to international standards and requirements of effective legislation.
This comprehensive modification will considerably increase the speed of fuel oil offloading, especially in winter time, when parallel process of circulation heating needs more time. Upon completion of this project Kulevi Oil Terminal will be able to receive and unload 162 railway tank cars of fuel oil per day",- the report says.
