OREANDA-NEWS. August 31, 2011. Within a week retail prices for the population for condensed gas should be cardinally reduced, the First vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Andriy Klyuyev declared this at a selector meeting with heads of all regions of Ukraine.

As he said, recently retail prices of the delivering companies exceed wholesale prices in 2.2 – 6.5 times. Andriy Klyuyev informed that it was lead a special-purpose auction in May, where scheduled volumes of condensed gas for May-December, 2011 at the price of 2130 UAH per ton (192.3 thousands tones) were realized. If the wholesale price of one cylinder of condensed gas made 44.73 UAH, a retail price in any way could be above 90-100 UAH, he declared.

At the same time, the First vice Prime Minister noted that increase of the maximal retail prices on condensed gas in 15 regions was observed. On his data, for example, in Cherkasy region a cylinder costs 98.90 UAH, and the highest prices - in Kherson region where the price of a cylinder has reached 291.67 UAH.

The high level of retail prices also is fixed in Crimea (250.00 UAH), Odesa region (204.54 UAH) and in Sevastopol (195.00 UAH per one cylinder), Andriy Klyuyev informed.

He charged to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade to analyse within day rectangular components of a cylinder of condensed gas sold for needs of the population, in a cut of regions and by results to define limiting price.

NJSC "Naftogas Ukraine" also within day should analyse demands for condensed gas of all regions, declared Andriy Klyuyev.

The First vice Prime Minister charged to take urgent measures on reduction of retail prices to regional administrations, Council of ministers of Crimea, Kyiv and Sevastopol city state administrations.

"Within a week the price should be led to the proved level. If someone decided to heat up hands on our population, we shall know surnames. If it is mismanagement of specific heads, they should answer for it", - the First vice Prime Minister declared.

Andriy Klyuyev also charged to the Antimonopoly Committee to inspect actions of participants of the market.
