OREANDA-NEWS. August 30, 2011. Traffic on a new multi-level road interchange which is on 128th kilometer of highway М-06 Kiev-Chop (the Zakarpatye region) is opened. This international transport corridor connects capital of Ukraine to the European Union countries. Participation in solemn opening of traffic was accepted by the President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych, the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Infrastructure Boris Kolesnikov, the Chairman of the State Road Administration of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) Vladimir Demishkan.

Outcome building is provided by Government plans on preparation for the European championship on football of 2012: next year thousand fans from Europe will go to the repaired road Kiyv-Chop on the championship on football.

The new junction of highway has no analogues in Ukraine is object of such level of complexity first in Ukraine. Here three overpasses, more than 10 kilometers of the basic journey and congresses are constructed, is executed more a half-million of cubes of earthmoving, the covering from asphalt concrete is arranged, the marking from a polymeric tape and cold plastic is durable. With a view of provision of effective exploitation and traffic safety under difficult weather conditions on an outcome the road meteorological station is established.

The expectational intensity of traffic of cars in junctions of highway zone in 2011-2026 will constitute 48.7 thousand cars a day. The longevity of a road carpet in the conditions of constantly increasing intensity of traffic will provide the current technologies and materials which were applied at highway repair.

The junction of highway is constructed within the limits of the joint project with reconstruction and development European Bank and the European Investment Bank. It is essentially important that the object is constructed on modern European technologies.

The total cost of executed works at the junction of highway amount 199.2 million UAH.
