OREANDA-NEWS. August 30, 2011. Bank SNORAS will provide the opportunity to exchange the national currency for the members of all foreign teams and their fans who will come to the European men's basketball championship this year.  The currencies of all 24 participating countries will be purchased and sold in the bank's subdivisions during the championship, reported the press-centre of Bank SNORAS.

The spectrum of the convertible currencies of the bank will be replenished by the Georgian lari (GEL), Serbian dinars (RSD), Bosnian and Herzegovina marks (BAM) and Macedonian denars (MKD).

“And until now we have been offering to our clients a fairly broad assortment of convertible currencies; however, considering the fact that the basketball championship, which will begin in Lithuania soon, will attract a lot of foreign guests, we have decided to expand this list. This European men's basketball championship will unify the largest number of the participating countries until now; therefore, we do hope that our decision will help the members of all the teams and their fans to exchange their cash which they will bring and also to facilitate their settlements,” states Deividas Sipaila, the director of AB Bank SNORAS Sales Department.

The currencies, which will replenish the list of Bank SNORAS convertible currencies during the European men's basketball championship, will be traded since 31 August till 18 September in all Lithuanian cities where the championship competition will take place.

Furthermore, according to D. Sipaila, for the convenience of both the guests who will arrive from abroad and the local basketball fans the work time of some subdivisions of Bank SNORAS – especially those which are next or not far from the most important basketball arenas – will be prolonged during the championship. It is also planned to set up mobile ATMs of Bank SNORAS in several basketball arenas of the championship. In this way it is sought to solve the problem when people do not have with them cash, while there is no opportunity to make settlements with payment cards in certain points of sale.

In total Bank SNORAS sells and buys 26 currencies among which the following ones are bought in and sold in Lithuania less frequently: Chinese yuan, Hungarian forints, Croatian kuna, Turkish liras, Bulgarian lev, Israeli shekels, and Romanian lei.
