OREANDA-NEWS. August 29, 2011. According to the order of the Transport and Road Infrastructure Minister Anatolii Salaru, the special task group would study the opportunity of initiating the process of reorganization of the state-owned company Air Moldova into an open joint-stock company and would present a bill with the respective explanatory note.

In addition, the Ministry initiated the process of elaboration of the Regulation on compensation and provision of assistance to air passengers. The specially set up task group with participation of representatives of the Transport Ministry, State Civil Aviation Administration, Chisinau International Airport, Air Moldova and Moldavian Airlines companies will elaborate the draft regulation that will contain norms in terms of compensation and provision of assistance to passengers in potential situations of cancellation or delay of flights.

The Regulation is to be elaborated according to the plan of actions to harmonize the Moldovan legislation with European norms working in this field.
