OREANDA-NEWS. August 29, 2011. It was summarized the results work of Ukraine's coal industry from the beginning of the year and held a press conference on the occasion Miner's Day on mine "Dovzhans`ka-Kapital`na" of the State enterprise "Sverdlovantratsut" in Sverdlovsk town of Lugansk region with participation of director of Department of the coal industry of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Oleksandr Vivcharenko.

During press conference data about work of coal branch, in particular about significant growth of volumes of a coal mining in Ukraine have been presented. So, on operative data from the beginning of year by enterprises of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry was extracted 25.5 million tons of coal that exceeds the plan for 1.7 million tons (8 %) and in comparison with the appropriating period of last year the coal mining increased on 2.5 million tons (11 %). Total volume of a coal mining in the country exceeded 52 million tons. Thus it was accented, that growth of volumes of extraction of coal was accompanied by improvement of social parameters in coal branch. In particular, the monthly average salary of workers of the coal-mining enterprises in the first half-year 2011 made 4576 UAH, that on 987 UAH or 27.5 % more last year parameters.

Except at the press conference it was noted about strengthening security measures in coal branch. So, by the order of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry № 353 requirements to a management of the enterprises, to technical officers were strengthened. At the press conference it was discussed issues of attraction of investments into coal branch.
