OREANDA-NEWS. August 26, 2011.   To step-up investment and implementation of railway project in North Eastern Region, a dedicated North East Region Rail Development Fund (NERRDF) has been created.

 NERRDF is a non-lapsable fund with 25 per cent contribution from Railway Gross Budgetary Support (GBS) and 75 per cent contribution from Ministry of Finance as additionality and it will be utilized for funding of National Projects in North East Region.
 

This information was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Bharatsinh Solanki in written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha today.
